For
about 4 years I've searching for a nude lipstick that would match my olive skin
tone and its always been impossible. It's too brown (making me look washed
out)... or its too pink (it's nowhere near pink anymore). I remember seeing one
of Cheryl's interviews where talked about her signature Loreal lipstick and how
it was the perfect shade of nude for olive skin tones as it's not too brown and
not too pink.
Selfridges, Selfridges...Selfridges! Yes I was at Selfridges
again not long ago browsing through the makeup section when I bumped into my
favorite brand...Illamasqua. I had no intention on buying anything I was rather
browsing makeup with my friend who wanted to buy herself a lipstick. I promised
myself that I would not buy anything but things did not go to plan when I found
a lipstick in the perfect shade of brown and pink. It was like meant to be.
I asked the lady if I could try on this
lipstick (I can't remember the shade) and she bought me along the lip colouring
pencil that looked like it was in the same shade (the lip colouring pencil that
I have is in the shade Fantasy). I tried it on and I instantly fell in love
with the colour. I ditched the lipstick because I did not want any business
with that anymore and insisted that lip pencil be mine.
The Illamasqua Lip Colouring Pencils are all priced at £15.00 and worth every
penny. I love the shade and the way the colour just blends in leaving a very
smooth texture behind. It obviously does not last for very long on its own so
perhaps use some lipstick seal however I personally do not like to. I love the
matte look without the shine.
I am extemely crazy about the Illamasqua Lip Colouring Pencils. I personally
think the fantasy shade is one to wear during the day whilst during the
evenings I think its always nice to have a pop of colour. I have put through my
next order for some more lip pencils from Illamasqua which I cannot wait to
try.
If you have nude shade
that you think is perfect for olive skin tones then do let me know, I would
love to try them out.

I have yet to try illamasqua, but I am beginning to love matte lips, so i might give this a try :)
