I've have been without this foundation for a while now. This is my go to foundation when my blemishes start to take a sharp frenzy turn on me. I haven't had the need to go back to it since my skin has been in good condition over the past couple of months and during those times I would indulge in the more higher coverage foundations like the Giorgio Armani Designer Lift.
Your probably thinking why I would use a higher coverage foundation during the times that I do not need that much coverage and that's only because when blemishes creep up its not just important to ensure that you are cleansing your skin properly and that you are using the right products but to also ensure that your using make up that doesn't cause further problems to arise. When my blemishes first kicked off, I went through many foundations and my skin hated them all and finally one day I came across the Giorgio Armani beauty stand at Selfridges and picked up this gorgeous foundation and over the weeks I noticed how much my skin condition improved. The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk made the perfect fit for my skin and it didn't cause any further flare ups...once my first bottle of the Luminous Silk finished off I wanted to try the other Giorgio Armani foundations which I am also so insanely in love with.

The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, a foundation that you may or may not have heard of already is a very lightweight foundation. The foundation application is almost seamless and blends in really easily. The foundation is a light coverage foundation however you can build up the foundation without having to worrying about looking cakey. I tend to always build this foundation up when I need more coverage so I would say the maximum building up power you'll get is up to a medium coverage without introducing the cakey look.
The liquid is very lightweight and it blends in so easily. I prefer to use my fingers rather then a brush or a sponge as I felt like the brush and sponge tend to pick up too much off the product, but you can use whatever you prefer.
The reason why I love using this foundation when my skin kicks up a fuss is because it allows my skin to breathe under the make up and it does not clog up my pores.
I purchase this foundation in the shade 6.5 (Tawny). The last time I went around the Armani beauty stand I had forgotten exactly what shade it was that I use to purchase this foundation in but fortunately with the help of the lovely staff I was able to be reunited with it. The 6.5 (Tawny) is a shade which is well suited for those whom have olive undertones such as myself. The foundations comes in 21 different shades so there is a perfect shade for everybody (I hope!).
The foundation is a oil-free hydrating fluid so if you have dry skin, this is such an excellent foundation to use. My favourite thing about this foundation is the luminous glow that it lets off. I'm not such a huge fan of the matte look, I like to keep it looking natural and this lets off a really nice dewy look.
It's really important to set the foundation with a translucent powder even though it doesn't really move around much but just to kinda fix it in place and last longer its always best to set it.
The foundation is priced at £34.50. It's a bit pricey but I love it so it's very much worth it for me!
What are your thoughts on the Luminous Silk?
