My hair is just as fussy as I am. I have quite thick dry hair which has been exposed to damage through heat styling tools and hair dye and the only thing that has been able to tame my beast of a hair is coconut oil which I am a huge fan of especially the Garnier coconut oil which I have now been using for a couple of months now and have seen some amazing results which is why I swear by it now. When I was approached by Lani to try their tropical hair treatment oil, I could not refuse. The Lani Tropical Hair Treatment is a 100% natural treatment and comes along with a promise of lustrous hair.
As soon as I received this gorgeous blue bottle of hair loving oil, I was very excited to try it. Over the past couple of years, I must have tried a dozen of hair products but nothing never really worked apart from pure coconut oil and I was very much excited to try this product as it contains tropical and macadamia oils and not to mention my personal favourite...coconut oil all in one blue bottle and you can already assume that I had my hopes pretty high for this product (I was really getting ready for heavenly hair!)
Here is what the the Lani Tropical Hair Treatment promises your hair:
- Lani will add plenty of shine and lustre to your locks
- Lani will help your hair hold moisture
- Lani will help protect against split ends and breakage
- Lani will tame frizzy, out of control and unruly locks
- Lani will help recover damaged hair
- Lani will make your hair easier to style and straighten
- Lani will soothe dry and itchy scalps
The Lani Tropical Hair Treatment oil is not a leave in oil so once you apply it your meant to be washing it out of your hair later. Lani recommends that you keep the oil in your hair for a while to allow it work better on your hair. I usually put oil all over my hair before I go bed and in the morning I would wash it all out, this way the oil has a good few hours to treat the hair properly. Once I have washed the oil out of my hair before I blow dry or anything I would usually apply a little bit of the oil to my hair whilst it is still damp to the bottoms of my hair and I do this with my pure coconut oil as well just to protect my hair that little bit further.
After a couple of weeks of using the hair treatment I had not seen any change in my hair and in fact it started to feel more dry after every use, however I have read so many excellent reviews about this product so I guess it does work for most people but just not for me unfortunately. After a couple of weeks using Lani, my hair started to feel like straw so I went back to using pure coconut oil which gave it life again.
No beach babe hair for me :-(
