I love going to the spa, but unfortunately its not possible to get to the spa all the time when you really need to kick back and relax. Recently me and my sisters got together and created our own home spa which we all really enjoyed even though there were somethings that we would typically do at the spa which was not possible to do at home but all the same the experience was very relaxing and enjoyable.

1. Lemon Water
Put together some lemon and mint leaves in water and leave it aside in a water jug for a couple hours at room temperature. Lemon water is a great way to flush out the toxins in your body and gets the system revved up. Lemon water is detoxifying and is ideal to be consumed first thing in the morning.
2. Fruits
Take out some fruits and put them in a bowl. Any fruits will be ideal whether its oranges, strawberries or even blueberries.
3. Pitta bread and hummus is always perfect as a light snack.
4. Your allowed a little bit of junk food so crack open a packet of crisps to snack on as you relax.
5. Nuts
All nuts have different health benefits, for more information about the nutrition benefits of nuts please see: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/howto/guide/health-benefits-nuts
ready, set...spa
1. Cleanse your face and brush your teeth
Before you kick off with your spa treatments, its very important to start off with a clean face. Go ahead and brush your teeth as well, it just adds that little something extra to your home spa (don't forget to floss and use mouthwash!). Once you've washed your face, there is no need to apply any toners or moisturises just yet.
2. Relax
In order to set the mood, I light some candles and play some soft music (the typical songs that you would find playing at the spa). I also applied some of the Temple Spa Aromatherapy Resting Cream on my skin which can also be used as spa treatment and I find it that this creams helps me relax, plus the fragrance of the cream adds a little touch to the spa experience.
3. Facial Steaming
Boil some water and pour the water into a bowl. Place your face near the bowl (not too close!) and put a towel over your head in order to avoid the steam escaping. Steam your face for 10-20 minutes.
Facial steaming is often done as part of spa facial treatment, but you can easily give yourself a good facial steaming and still reap the same benefits as you would do with a facial at the spa. Facial steaming helps clean clogged pores and reduce acne breakouts.
4. Facial Masque
After you've finished facial steaming, dry your face and apply your facial masque as you would normally. Allow your masque to set for 10-20 minutes and then wash it off as usual.
5. Pore Strips
I usually do a pore strip after my facial masque, if you don't..don't worry.
6. Condition your hair
You can condition your hair with whatever you want whether that be a hair conditioner (be sure to put your hair in a shower cap afterwards) or any other hair treatment. I apply coconut oil to my hair and allow it to set for a good couple of hours.
7. Foot & Hand Scrubs
Grab your scrubs or sugar (whatever works best for you) but be sure it be a scrub which has rough beads to ensure that that your feet and hands are left feeling smooth. Place your feet in warm water and scrub each foot, do the same with your hands. Once you've finished scrubbing and rinsed all the scrub off your feet and hands, dry your feet and hands and apply moisturiser to them.
8. Put on a movie
What better way to relax then to put on a good movie, snack and have a couple of drinks.
9. Have a flower bath
To end your home spa, have a luxurious bath filled with bath milk, lime and loads of pretty flower petals.
4. Facial Masque
