| HD BROWS Pro Powder Base Palette |
Back to the point...
So my HD Brows Powder
Base Palette arrived and I was so excited (as expected). It was tucked away
neatly in a HD Brows box just waiting for my arrival. The price for the palette
was fair costing only £10.00. The palette comes along with 6 mineral powder
foundation shades complimenting fair to medium skin tones:
- Shade
1 – Fair skin tones.
- Shade
2 – Light skin tones.
- Shade
3 – Medium skin tones with cool undertones.
- Shade
5 – Medium skin tones with warm undertones.
- Shade
7 – Medium/tan skin tones.
- Shade
9 – Tanned skin tones.
As a powder
foundation it’s expected that it will absorb excess oil and it also provides
buildable coverage so you can get away with wearing a lot of it without looking
like you've done a foundation overdose. The palette comes along with a small
brush which I did not use to apply the foundation. It's also very easy to blend
with an e.l.f studio foundation brush.
My Thoughts
It's said that this
foundation can conceal your imperfections which could be true if you did not
have any imperfections but against large pores and blemishes this foundation
does nothing.
In terms of coverage don't expect too much from it unless you’re
willing to go a long way to build the foundation up until your face is nicely
packed in makeup (sorry HD Brows...we just do not have the time to waste!)
I decided to use my
Supercover concealer beneath the foundation. Throughout the day I could see
that the foundation on my skin seemed to be cracking and the colour of the
foundation on my skin seemed to suddenly look a darker shade then it did when I
first applied it, but hey I might have just been seeing things.
For me...it's a
thumbs down for this foundation but that's not to say I will dislike the rest
of what HD Brows has to offer which I am actually looking forward too!
